# How to fix authentication issues?

To access Smart Proxy Manager you need to pass your API key, which you can get
from the Setup page in Smart Proxy Manager dashboard.

For more information on how to authenticate see spm.

If you change or refresh your API key the code using your previous API key will
start failing getting responses with error code 407. To fix these, simply
update your code to include your new API key.
